About Me

 

I love to teach! I have wanted to be a teacher since the 5th grade. I had the best teacher who really cared about me and made me love learning even more than I already had. Because she cared, she made learning fun. I wanted to be just like her when I grew up. To "prepare" I played school with my 4 little brothers, creating homework assignments for them to do and reading stories to them. I'm sure they loved it ;)

I fulfilled my dream of getting my Elementary Education Bachelor's degree in 2011. I am currently teaching third grade, my favorite!


So why this blog? I had a thought the other day of a quick way to practice elapsed time, a very hard concept for many students. It seems those thoughts come to me at the most inconvenient times. If I don't write things down, I forget them. So this is my way to remember the things I think of and a place to keep the great ideas I get from everyone else. Which is another motivation for this blog- YOU! I want your ideas. I believe as teachers we thrive with each others' help and ideas.
